Dry Needling

Treatment

Dry Needling

Dry Needling (not to be confused with acupuncture) involves the use of very fine, sterile needles placed into certain areas of the body to reduce pain by increasing blood flow, affecting your muscles and nerves. Dry needling can be helpful in presentations that don’t respond as well to soft tissue massage, and is very helpful in treating trigger points (knots). Generally dry needling is not painful and is very safe to use.

Use of dry needling can result in a twitch response where the muscle makes a small involuntary contraction, increased blood flow (erythema), and reduced inflammation. These responses are seen to be positive.

Shoulder Treatment

As a fellow osteopath I can't recommend Niall enough. He is very knowledgeable in anatomy and will always tailor his treatment plans to match his patients needs. I receive treatment from Niall regularly as I always does me good. I'd highly recommend you consider him if you have any aches or pains.
