HVT/Manipulation

HVTs use short, sharp thrusts to specific joints with the aim of getting them moving more normally. With an HVT you can hear a ‘pop’ or ‘crack’ this is called cavitation and is not necessary for a successful application of the technique. It is understood that this is air within the joint moving and making the sound.

The main aim of HVT is a mobilisational effect, but is also has an analgesic (painkilling) effect on the surrounding tissues and helps to relax off associated musculature, and the associated neurones reducing nociceptive (painful) feedback.

Shoulder Treatment

As a fellow osteopath I can't recommend Niall enough. He is very knowledgeable in anatomy and will always tailor his treatment plans to match his patients needs. I receive treatment from Niall regularly as I always does me good. I'd highly recommend you consider him if you have any aches or pains.
